The Burroughs girls basketball team opened its participation in the Glendora Tournament against Highland High but lost 66-56. Head Coach Laura Larson said the team played hard and got better from the Tehachapi loss earlier in the month.The Burros had a strong start jumping out to an early 11-3 lead in the first quarter. The quick start came from the Burros being able to jump into the passing lanes and grab steals that they where able to turn into points in transition. But Highland was able to get back into the game by the third quarter and took the lead.
