GLENDORA —  For much of Thursday night, the Glendora football team was too predictable, a step too slow and out of sync during its opener against Chino Hills at Citrus College. In spite of it all, the Tartans still had a chance to take the lead with three minutes remaining. But it wasn't to be. Tartans quarterback Jake Denerson couldn't get a final drive going, throwing four consecutive incomplete passes and that allowed Chino Hills to secure a 13-7 victory. It was a rare defeat for Glendora, which started 11-0 last season before losing in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs to Apple Valley.
