Community holiday events are largely returning to pre-pandemic form this year after two seasons of disruption. Here is an array of festivities announced for Southern California cities. Events are free except where noted. LOS ANGELES COUNTY Arcadia: First Avenue will be closed between Huntington Drive and Diamond Street for the city's Holiday Fair & Day of Giving. There will be activities for kids, live music, an appearance by Santa and booths selling merchandise and beer and wine. A drive-through food drive at First Avenue Middle School will collect canned food and pet food donations.
