Not so sure California is currently liveable The same issue of the newspaper that posed this question included assertions from CALmatters that we need 1 million new homes. The real questions are the trade-offs that people will be forced to face. Quality of life considerations that must be sacrificed for the sake of population pressures. We currently don't meet the fundamental needs for water and power, and suffer a seriously degraded infrastructure. Does anyone really think that the weather is a factor in these issues? The California climate has always been subject to extremes.
